Khalid – Between Horses, Wind and Sand

 Khalid has been around horses for as long as he can remember. He grew up in Aït Ben Haddou, a small Berber village near Ouarzazate, in a family for whom horses were never a hobby, but a way of life — a living tradition passed down through generations. From an early age, he learned not only how to ride, but how to understand and care for horses — how to listen to them. Over time, this bond became his everyday rhythm.

Today, Khalid lives in harmony with the seasons. Each winter, he returns with his horses to his hometown of Aït Ben Haddou, where the desert light and silence shape his days. When summer comes, he travels with them to the Essaouira region, trading dunes for ocean breeze, to guide rides along the sea and treks through forests and beaches.

For him, every ride is much more than a simple outing — it’s a connection: with the horse, with nature, and with oneself.

With more than ten years of experience working with and training horses, Khalid approaches each animal with patience, respect, and kindness. He knows every horse by heart, and takes time to find the right match for every rider — especially for children and beginners.

Together with his small team, he welcomes every guest not as a customer, but as a friend. The atmosphere is warm and genuine.
